my chicago deployment

after a series of surprising plane cancellations my mom ended up driving me from dubuque to chicago to catch my first antarctica deployment flight to denver.



here are the two photos she took just before my whisking dash through the chicago airport: jumping through two hour lines in 15 minutes, getting my bags searched by security (twice) and running down the terminal to just barely make onto the plane.



but these photos don't tell that story, rather they just illustrate the glow of travel!
